We announced an exciting new project that we are going to engage with as a church.
King's Kitchen is composed of three parts that will help with food insecurity right here in our community. We want to be a church that exists not just IN the community, but FOR the community.
WHY WE ARE CHOOSING TO ENGAGE IN FIGHTING FOOD INSECURITY:
- Food insecurity amongst children is expected to increase by more than 50 percent through next Year. This is one of the highest rates for child hunger in our state in decades.
- 1 in 8 people in our city are facing hunger. In 2019, it was 1 in 11.
- In 2020, food shelves are facing a 65% increase in demand.
